LOS ANGELES (AP) – Michael Jackson’s daughter says she was inspired to be an actress after seeing her father in the film “Moonwalker.”"My dad was in the movie `Moonwalker’ and I knew he could sing really well, but I didn’t know he could act,” Paris Jackson told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, according to a transcript of the episode to air Thursday. “I saw that and I said, `Wow, I want to be just like him.”‘The film featuring Jackson’s signature dance move and other videos was released in 1988.Paris said her father encouraged her and did improvisation sessions to develop her skills.

With the recent announcement that Madonna is teaming up with Cirque du Soleil for the most fabulous Super Bowl halftime show ever, it was speculated that the 53-year-old singer is using the high-profile appearance to kick off a PR-blitz for a new album. Now comes confirmation that Madonna has signed a new record deal with Interscope, and will release new music in March. The album is part of a three-record deal that’s said to be worth $40 million, a princely sum for an artist who likely will be pushing 60 by the time the agreement is fulfilled.

(CNN) — According to Women’s Wear Daily, a certain “Saved by the Bell” alum is getting into the undergarment business.

Mario “A.C. Slater” Lopez, 38, has partnered with 2(x)ist to launch his own line of skivvies called RatedM.

Available at FreshPair.com, the boxer briefs and tighty-whities are described as being “for manful men and their very special guests.” The site advertises the undies with a photo of a shirtless Lopez modeling his wares.

After apple juice was hit with negative press for containing trace amounts of arsenic, The Associated Press reported last week that nutrition experts believe consumers should be concerned more about calories and sugar.

Local nutrition experts agree, saying the overconsumption of fruit juice — including grape, orange, cranberry and pineapple — is a health concern, especially among children. Apple juice is the most popular for youngsters.
