Britney Spears has said that fans will hear her “edgiest” and most “mature” sound to date on her new album Femme Fatale. The ‘Hold It Against Me’ singer told V magazine that she had spent the last two years working “really hard” on the album and believed it to be the “best” LP of her career.”I think Femme Fatale speaks for itself,” she said. “There’s nothing to say. I’ll let the music speak for me. I wanted to make a fierce dance record where each song makes you want to get up and move your body in a different way. That’s what I want from the music I listen to. This record is for the clubs, or something you play before you go out at night. It’s definitely my edgiest and most mature sound yet.”Asked if the new album was a revolution or an evolution, Spears admitted that it was a “little of both”.She explained: “There are songs on this album that don’t sound like anything else and are completely revolutionary, but I also believe that this album expresses where I am today as a woman and is an evolution of who I am.”On her favourite track from the album, she revealed: “I really love ‘On the Rocks’ because it sounds so different from anything I have ever heard. It’s so cool and quirky.”The bitch is back and better than ever,” she added.Spears releases Femme Fatale on March 28 in the UK and March 29 in the US.> Britney Spears releases LP tracklisting
