The six members of Royal Teeth are familiar with Interstate 10, as some live in New Orleans, some in Lafayette.
Royal Teeth, a new world-pop ensemble whose members live in New Orleans and Lafayette, celebrate a new EP at Republic New Orleans on Friday, July 15. When they come together, it is to make exhilarating world-beat pop.
The collaboration between bassist Joshua Wells, vocalist/guitarist Gary Larsen, singer Nora Patterson, percussionist Josh Hefner, guitarist/ keyboardist Stevie Billeaud and vocalist/ guitarist/keyboardist Andrew Poe is relatively new, but productive. They issued a live EP in February and have just released a studio EP, Act Naturally.
Their CD release party on Friday, July 15 at Republic New Orleans is part of the Warehouse District clubs weekly throwback series, in which the night is built around an iconic artist. Tonights theme is David Bowie. Look for Royal Teeth to showcase rearranged Bowie classics, and possibly rock Ziggy Stardust duds. Mobley opens.
Show time is 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door.
