Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott has become engaged to session drummer Chris Tyrrell.
The couple met while touring with Tim McGraw last year.
Tyrrell, who has toured with Lady Antebellum, Love and Theft and Josh Kelley – the brother of Scott’s bandmate Charles, is currently on tour with Edens Edge’s on Brad Paisley’s summer tour.
The musician proposed during a lakeside party in Tennessee during the Independence Day weekend, according to People.com.
Scott tells the website, “We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!”
