The Creators Project is returning to NYC. You may remember them from their presence at Coachella and from when they were in NYC in June 2010 when they featured performances by Gang Gang Dance, Neon Indian, Interpol, and others and artwork by Spike Jonze, Nick Zinner, and others.

The Creators Project are returning to NYC in October to present a piece by Nick Zinner’s fellow Yeah Yeah Yeah Karen O.

Following last year’s launch in New York, The Creators Project’s return will feature a Karen O psycho-opera, an assault on the tragic joys of youth. Directed by Adam Rapp, the work will be produced by The Studio, a multimillion-dollar global studio launched this year by The Creators Project that produces and distributes works from artists representing a cross-section of creative disciplines. The premiere will take place at the critically acclaimed, St. Ann’s Warehouse.

The “psycho-opera” is set to happen four days before CMJ starts . Check the Creator’s Project blog and event page for updates.
