Not only is Danish punk band Iceage featured in this week’s CAL section (and right here), the teenage foursome and its debut album, “New Brigade,” are the subject of the latest episode of the Sound Check podcast.
Stephen Busemeyer, Meghan Maguire Dahn and I parse what it means to be punk, which really amounts to a bunch of pedantic quibbling that pales next to the force of the album. What do we think? Depends on the person: Meghan and I like the record, for different reasons, and we benevolently help Steve sort through his befuddlement.
